Classical Islamic Learning invites you to Two New FREE programs for women taught byUstaadhah Sameera Shah starting January 15th, 2013:

Modules Include:

Qur’aan – Surah Al-Fatihah, Al-Baqarah & Aal-i-Imraan
Through an in-dept commentary, this course offers spiritual and practical advice from the first three surahs of the Qur’aan-e-kareem and aims at personal reform.

Islamic Scholarly Tradition Do we need to rely on formally trained scholars for knowledge of Islam or can anyone who is simply sincere become an authority on Islam? Why are there differences of opinion between scholars when all genuinely follow Qur’aan and Sunnah?
How are we supposed to know who is right and whom we should follow? Is there always only one scholar who is right according to the Qur'aan and Sunnah?

These questions and many like them are increasingly on the mind of university educated Muslims who have not had a chance to formally study the disciplines of classical Islamic learning.  This course will reveal how the scholars of tafsir, hadith, and fiqh have answered these very questions and will demonstrate the deeply academic, pluralistic, and tolerant understanding of the great scholars of Islam.

Fiqh Essentials - This course presents a handbook-approach to the fiqh of worship and focuses on its practical application. The following topics will be covered in the form of one-day seminars: Tahaarah (ritual purity), Salaah (prayer and its Dos and Don’ts),Janaaiz (bathing the dead and burial rites), Zakah (basic rules) and Sawm (fasting)

Hadeeth - Selections from “Provision for the Seeker”
