MPA invites you to find out why a Muslim cardiologist in a small town in Texas took time out of his medical practice to run for city council and how he was later elected (and re-elected) Mayor of Paris, Texas. Mayor Dr. Arjumand Hashmi will share his perspective on getting involved at the grassroots level, and how these efforts are an important stepping stone in our journey as American Muslims.
