Behind the doors, where people sleep,
Knock before you enter with peace
For you might see, what no eye should see,
As lowered gazes take a peak
Beneath the chatter, words do creep,
Of lies and slander up gossip’s creek
Before the darkness, there is a light,
But only for those who stand by right
In a world filled with overly dramatic reality TV shows and celebrity gossip magazines, we are a people who are obsessed with other people’s business!
They heard it through the grapevine, that So and So is going through Such and Such and without even a second thought they have completely dragged someone’s name though the dirt.
It’s not always easy to think the best of someone, especially when it seems as though the facts are against them.
So how do we as Muslims understand our approach to problems caused by rumors and suspicion?
Allah says, “Why, when you heard it, did not the believing men and believing women think good of one another and say, ‘This is an obvious falsehood’.”
BETRAYAL | DECEIT | SCANDAL
Imagine you are approached and informed that your spouse was having an affair!
The person whom you loved, protected and cherished had gone behind your back and committed the most heinous of crimes. Even the mere thought might cause your blood to boil, never mind the gossip which was quickly spreading throughout your community.
Now place yourself in the position of our noble Prophet Muhammed (salalahu alayhi wa salam) during the incident of the Ifk, where the honour of his beloved wife Aisha (Radiallahu anha) was being called into question.
Why didn’t the Prophet (salalahu alayhi wa salam) just end the accusation against Aisha by saying she didn’t do it?
Why did he not defend her by proclaiming her innocence?
And why didn’t her own father Abu bakr (Radiallahu anhu) defend his daughter during the slander?
With all the ingredients of a blockbuster movie, learn more about the way in which Muhammed (salalahu alayhi wa salam) handled the entire situation and get a better insight into one of the biggest trials of early Islamic history.
Just as when the sun comes out people turn off artificial light sources; when Allah offers His guidance we turn off other sources of guidance. But that doesn’t mean we turn off our intellect. Shaykh Kamal El Mekki will teach students to recognize the difference between intellect, which always agrees with the Quran and Sunnah, and personal opinions, or desires.
Become of those who learn from the Book of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and gain practical insight into implementing the Qu’ran into your everyday life.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala begins this Sûrah with:
"(This is) a Sûrah which we have sent down and which we have enjoined, (ordained its legal laws)."
Verse three says:
"The adulterer marries not but an adulterous or a Mushrikah and the adulteress none marries her except an adulterer or a Muskrik."
No! There are five types that are worse than others. What are they?
Practically impossible! Why put conditions that are so difficult? Who would get punished then? Find out the wisdom.
If you answered, “the prescribed punishments”, then you need to take this course to find out why that was the first thing that came to mind. The Sharia is far more than that; but why do people only think it’s all about punishments?
