In today’s world, gadgets are responsible for our calendars, to-do lists-- even obligatory prayer/athaan reminders have become part of every smartphone app store. Our phone can remind us to do a lot of things throughout the day but WE have to remember Allah. In Surat Al-‘Ankabut, Allah says:

Recite, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book and establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater. And Allah knows that which you do.
