Description:
"Revival and Reform in Islam: Past and Future"
This course will shed light on the means and inspirations of revival and reform in Islam, by focusing on some crucial moments in Islamic history. Time and again, when confusion, corruption, ignorance, spiritual decline or other external and internal threats weakened the Muslim community and its mission, God has brought forth, as promised in a prophetic tradition, "those who will revive the deen of this Umma." From Abu Bakr and Umar b. Abd al-Aziz to al-Ghazali, Ibn Taymiyya and the more recent Islamic scholars, thinkers, and movements, revival and reform have taken place in many different forms. Understanding these is important in envisioning our own contributions to upholding the truth of God and service to all of God's creation.
Come benefit from a FREE full day learning seminar by the Islamic Learning Foundation (ILF) on February 22! This promises to be a very educational class that will benefit everyone, insha'Allah!
Please spread the word and invite everyone you know!
