Masjid Warithuddeen Mohammed Invites all youth to our 5th Annual Youth Career Day:  Cultivating Success by Unearthing Our Potential is the theme for this year's Career day. For Ages- 5 -17.  This Annual event has become a hallmark of our community in that it serves to bring together students with professionals working in their desired fields of study. 

The event will include:
-Include active workstations where students can try hands on activities in specifc fields
-open panel discussion where students can ask various professionals questions about their paths to success 
-skill building workshops for our students to assist them in determining a career as well as begin the process of preparing to meet the challenges each may pose. 

One component of the career day that has become very popular over the past 3 years is our ESSAY CONTEST. The winner will receive either a Kindle or Tablet computer as a prize with 2nd & 3rd place prizes given as well: Below are the rules for entry. Winners will be announced during our 4th Sunday Public Address on Sunday, April 27th (1pm) where the winners will read their essays.

Career Day: Essay Contest Rules (ages 11 -17)
1. Submit a typed 500 word essay (size 12 font, double spaced) 
2. Select one of the following topics as the subject of your essay: 
a. What Does it Mean to Be a Leader (Describe attributes, behaviors, pros & cons of being a leader) 
b. How I Plan to Compete in A Global Economy (describe your plan for creating a competitive advantage in your selected career field which will allow you to excel in today’s global economic climate) 
3. Please include resource references to support your statements 
4. Submit your essay (via email( by Midnight Sunday, April 20th, 2014 to aminsandira@yahoo.com to be considered. 
5. Attend the 5th Annual Career Day Event for awards ceremony & Sunday Public Address 4/26/14 (you must be present to win)
