Bazaar

We believe that economic activity is vital for the development of any community. Not surprisingly, one of the main events at the Convention is the “ISNA Bazaar or Trade Show”. With more than 550 booths, about 400 vendors and businesses participate in the ISNA Bazaar.

Entertainment

Islamic entertainment is one of the key features of the Annual Convention. Past convention performers have included Maher Zain, Native Deen, Mona Haydar, Kareem Salama, Preacher Moss, Junaid Jamshed, Noor, Najam Sheraz, Dawud Warnsby, Zain Bhikha and many more.

Matrimonial Banquet

Two matrimonial banquets will be held at the 51st Annual ISNA Convention on Saturday and Sunday August 30 and 31. More than 800 participants will attend these networking events.


Film Festival

An annual film festival is organized at the convention. The film festival provides a platform for filmmakers to showcase and present their work to the convention attendees.

Art Exhibit

Every year an Islamic Art exhibit is organized at the annual convention. Art is a powerful form of expression that transcends human barriers. It creates a lasting impact on the viewer that goes beyond culture, language, or background. Art is not only entertaining but also inspires the viewer to think and learn more.

Qira'at Competition

Reciting, memorizing and devoting time to regularly study the Qur'an and implementing it's life lessons has tremendous benefits in both this life and the hereafter. We at ISNA create such opportunities for our youth, encouraging them to learn the art of recitation, memorization, and Tajweed Al-Quran.

Meet the Author

Raise the level of intellectual dialogue and cultural awareness in our community. The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) invites all published authors to attend special panel sessions entitled Meet the Author at the ISNA Annual Convention.



Photography Exhibit

Photography is the art of recording an image in history which we find captivating, amusing, or thought-provoking. And, unlike many other mediums, it provides us with a "true-to-life" image, which is not too much different than to what our own eyes would see.

Children's Program

Children’s program and Babysitting program will be provided for the registered children at the 51st Annual ISNA Convention from August 29 to September 1, 2014 in Detroit MI. You can register for these programs through the convention registration page.

Basketball Tournament

In collaboration with the National Muslim Basketball Tournament (NMBT), we will arrange a basketball tournament at the 51st convention in Detroit MI (August 29 - September 1, 2014). More than 200 players participated in this tournament at the last year's convention.

Health Fair

At its Annual Convention, ISNA provides many free health screenings and related information to all convention attendees. These services may vary from one event to another and include diabetes screening, BP screening, blood donation, lung screening, cholesterol screening. and much more.

5 K Run/ Walk

The ISNA Detroit 5K Run/ Walk will be a memorable, riverside run that will commemorate ISNA's commitment to incorporating healthy living and family fun into the culture of our Muslim American fabric. ISNA is a partner in First Lady Michelle Obama's Let's Move Campaign and a champion of health and wellness for the American Muslim community. The very ethos of our daily lives, including great starts to our days and good health, is the essence of this year's Convention.
