A Brief Biography About Dr. Shan:

Long-time practicing cardiologist, Dr. Kesavan Shan, has established Methodist Sugar Land Cardiology Associates.

Dr. Shan is board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. He is also certified in Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography, and has had extensive training in Coronary Computerized Tomography, Angiography and Cardiovascular MRI. Dr. Shan has assumed the role of Director of Cardiac Imaging at Methodist Sugar Land Hospital.

Dr. Shan completed his Cardiology training at Baylor College of Medicine, and has been practicing in the Sugar Land area for 10 years. He has been elected for inclusion in the Best Doctors in America database since 2003 and has also been selected for inclusion in The Consumer’s Research Council, America’s Guide to America’s Top Physicians and Top Cardiologists.
Furthermore, he has authored over 25 publications and book chapters on cardiac disease and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He is active in teaching residents and medical students, and has received several teaching awards.
