South Zone Youth and Masjid As-Sabireen Presents:

INDUS ARTS STARTALK URDU PROGRAM

The Indus Arts Council Urdu STARTALK Program will offer an exciting fifteen-day hands-on learning opportunity to 50 local upper elementary and middle school students to improve their Urdu language skills and their familiarity with Urdu culture. Students will improve their proficiency in Urdu language and culture through an engaging curriculum that integrates age-appropriate content goals with language learning and cultural goals. The program will also strengthen students’ ties with the local Urdu-speaking community and it will help promote the study of and awareness of Urdu and its culture in the Houston area. Classes will be held at Everest Academy (Masjid As-Sabireen) in Stafford, TX

Registration is now open until 4/30/2014. This is a free of cost program for general public.

• Students must be in 3rd grade to 8th grade at the time of registration. This is a 3 week Monday-Friday program.

• Program will start on June 9th & finish by June 27th 2014.

• Timings are 9:00am till 3:30pm (Free lunch will also be provided)

• Books, materials and other supplies are also free of cost to students.

• There will also be a free of cost field trip.
