1) Abu Huraira (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, “The most excellent fast after the month of Ramadan is (the fast) in the month of Allah, Al-Muharram. And the most excellent prayer after the obligatory prayers is the salah in the night.” [Ahmed 8542, Muslim 1163, Abu Dawud 2429]

2) Abu Qatada (RA) reported that the Prophet (SAW) said that "...The fast on the 10th of Muharram atones for the sins of the preceding year." [Sahih Muslim] 

3) From Riyad As-Saliheen (#1166) Abdullah bin Salam (RA) reported that The Prophet (SAW) said, "O people, promote the greetings, feed (the poor and needy) and perform Salat when others are asleep so that you will enter Jannah safely." [At-Tirmidhi]

4) [Az-Zumar 39:9] "Is one who worships devoutly during the hours of night prostrating himself or standing [in adoration] and who places his hope in the mercy of His Lord - [like one who does not]? Say: 'Are those equal - those who know and those who do not know?' It is those who are endowed with understanding that receive admonition."

In order to combine the benefits of the fast and the night prayer, ILH announces a special Qiyaam night on Saturday November 1st - November 2nd. 

Let us strive for the forgiveness of one year by one day of fasting, and let us remember Allah and learn about his religion for one night, so that it may strengthen our Imaan and we may earn His pleasure.
