Ibrahim Islamic Center presents...
A Fireside Chat with Ustadth Ubaydullah Evans , Preacher Moss and Mujahid Fletcher.
Historically laughter and storytelling reflected a variety of concerns, interests, and intentions. Despite popular opinions of the life of the Prophet and his companions’, many people laughed, smiled, giggled, entertained and even ridiculed each other. This program will demonstrate how important storytelling and laughter was and how diverse the situations proved to be in which people laughed. The program will examine a wide gamut of cases of storytelling and laughter in classical texts and art works and their role in human development and social justice. The program will also highlight storytelling and comedy’s role in social justice historically and today. The correct understanding and approach to storytelling and laughter can be therapeutic and open windows to understanding history, culture and social justice
