Every Other Sunday

Dr. Bassim Hameed is an Islamic scholar and practicing physician who was born in Damascus, Syria where he obtained his medical degree from Damascus University and underwent formal training in traditional Islamic sciences under the guidance of numerous prominent scholars. He also graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Law from Mishkah University. His focus of instruction revolves around the fields of Sunnah and Tazkiyah (purification of the self) which he has been teaching for the last 25 years. He is board-certified in Neurology and Pain Medicine and manages a Neuroscience center in Houston. He also currently serves as Imam of the Shadow Creek Muslim Community Center in Pearland, Texas.

In this class, Sheikh Bassim teaches the definition, foundation, and preservation of the Sunnah (the understanding of the religion, its mandates, prohibitions, and its rituals as taught by Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him) to enhance our understanding of the topic and it's relevance in modern times.

Join us every other Sunday (starting 4/12/2015) at 7:00 pm sharp at 2222 Mansard Street. Open to men and women of all ages.
