The screening is hosted by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the University of Houston Clear Lake Film and Speakers series.
The director, Jacob Bender, will provide a question and answer session following the film. Mr. Bender is the Executive Director of CAIR's Philadelphia chapter.
The award-winning film looks at the lives of Ibn Rushd (Averroes) the Muslim, and Moses Maimonides the Jew, the two leading personalities of Al-Andalus (medieval Islamic Spain).
It explores today's relationships between Muslims, Jews, and Christians and the fight for human rights and against religious extremism.
A "meet the director" reception will be held following the program.
