(★) SHAYKH MUHAMMAD NINOWY was born and raised in Syria. He began his study under his father, memorizing the Glorious Qur'an and acquiring knowledge in many of the Islamic disciplines, such as Tawheed, Hanafi/Shafi'i Fiqh, Usool, and Ihsaan. Shaykh Muhammad focuses on reviving the call "Back to Basics" i.e " the Qur'an and Sunnah", in addition to teaching tolerance, peace and compassion. Shaykh Muhammad is the senior-in-residence scholar at Madina Masjid and institute in Atlanta, Georgia since 2000. Shaykh Ninowy also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mircobiology from the University of Illinois and a Doctor of Medicine degree.
(★) SHAYKH MOKHTAR MAGHRAOIU is one of the most well renowned scholars in North America and is a foundation scholar for Al-Madina Institute. Originally from Algeria, he is thoroughly versed in the Islamic sciences and holds a doctorate joined between the fields of physics and engineering. His expertise includes the disciplines of Tazkiyah and Fiqh, and he is best known for his enlightening retreats and seminars empowering Muslims on their spiritual quest.

The Kitab al-Hikam of Shaykh Ibn 'Ata'illah al-Iskandari is the inspiring explanation of the soul's journey through this life, as determined through the Qur'an and Sunna. Along with his treatises and intimate discourses (munajat), the substantive feature of the work is the author's 264 spiritual aphorisms (hikam)-concise, comprehensive and sublime sayings on self purification (tazkiya), and guidelines to help strengthen the relationship between humans and their Lord. |
