Many people have been following the news of Syrian refugees fleeing the violence in Syria. This is the humanitarian crisis of our era. Many Houstonians have been reaching out to SAC inquiring how to help Syrian refugees. 

Please join our workshop that will lead by Tabinda Ghani, Social Worker. Tabinda Ghani is the Client Services Manager at Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston. She is a Licensed Social Worker holding an MSW and MBA from the University of Houston. She has been active in the Houston nonprofit sector for 6 years and working in refugee services, nonprofit management consulting and senior services. Tabinda recently completed a certification from the Nonprofit Leadership Institute for Nonprofit Executives at Rice University.

Topic will include:
- How a host community can help refugees resettle?
- How can one volunteer?
