Women's Health: Getting to the HEART of the Matter

Please register for this meeting.

Meeting Description:

Every 60 seconds, some form of cardiovascular disease (CVD) – including heart disease and stroke – claims the life of someone’s wife, mother, daughter or sister, according to the American Heart Association. More than one in every three women suffers from CVD. This includes almost 50 percent of all black women and 34 percent of white women. While heart disease rates have declined steadily for men during the past 25 years, rates for women have fallen at a slower rate.

In celebration of American Heart Month, The Women’s Fund – in partnership with St. Luke’s Medical Center – presents this informative webinar. Join us to learn:

  • Your risk factors for cardiovascular disease
  • Prevention strategies
  • Importance of diet in deterring CVD
  • The latest treatment option for women

The McGovern series webinars are sponsored by The Women's Fund for Health Education and Research and are always offered to the community free of charge.
