Emerge USA to hold Candidate Forum on Thur Feb 27 at 6:30 PM

Emerge
USA is pleased to announce a Candidate Forum on
Thursday February 27, 2014 from 6:30 – 8:30 PM at Mezban Restaurant located
at 6655 Harwin Dr., Houston, TX
77036, off Hillcroft. Candidates in contested races for the nomination of their
respective parties in the March 4, 2014 Primary Elections will present their
positions and opinions in an open forum.
Several prominent local candidates have already confirmed that they plan
to participate in this Feb 27 forum and enjoy some delicious South Asian
cuisine. This is the only Candidate Forum being held for the Muslim, Arab and
South Asian American community. It is
expected to be well-attended by election candidates as this will be their
single opportunity to interact with this important electoral base.

Emerge USA is a
national, non-partisan non-profit organization, that aspires to engage
underrepresented communities into the political process with a focus on the
Muslim, Arab and South Asian American (MASA) communities. Through grassroots
organizing, Emerge USA aims to politically empower and train its constituents
to be engaged and active citizens.
