➨ Time: 11:30 PM at Maryam Islamic Center
The Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) said, “Fear Allah with regard to my Sahabas. Do not make them a target after me. Whosoever loves the Sahaba loves them because of my love.” The companions of Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) are true emblems of Islam. Through them, generations next have been able to corroborate stories and Sunnah of the Prophet (Peace be Upon Him), and stay true to the path of Islam.
➨ Session 1: The Era of the Four Caliphs
Speaker: Shaykh Faraz Khan
Of the Sahabas of the Prophet (Peace be Upon Him), the era of the four caliphs – Abu Bakr Siddiq (RA), Umar bin Khattab (RA), Uthman bin Affan (RA) and Ali ibn Abi Talib (RA) – ¬had a monumental impact on Islam. Under their leadership, Islam flourished and became a highly recognized religion beyond the confines of the Arabian Peninsula. This session will explore the Khalifas' personal narratives, from turning to Islam to their friendships with the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) and eventually, to leading the Muslim Ummah.
➨ Session 2: Chronicles of the Sahaba and their Journey to Islam
Speaker: Ustadh Ubayd Evans
The Sahaba sought and learned their religion from the single greatest messenger of Islam himself, Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him). Though the times were hard, and the plight for Muslims even harder, the Sahabas remained resolute in their desire to seek the truth and held steadfast to the side of the Prophet (Peace be Upon Him). This session seeks to discuss several companions of the Prophet (Peace be Upon Him), their characters and traits, their personal relationships with the Prophet (Peace be Upon Him) and stories of their acceptance as Muslims.
